Oral presentations
In the Oral sessions, authors have 15 min for presentation followed by 5 min for discussion. Speakers are requested to keep the time according to the scientific programme. It is advisable to prepare not more than 20 slides. Arial 18 or equivalent is the minimum size font for the main text but the Organization recommends Arial 20 or equivalent.
Oral presentations are accepted in any of the three official languages of the conference. However, the support materials (such as the PowerPoint presentations) must be prepared in English since no simultaneous translation will be available. All these materials should be handed over to the technical staff at the conference venue no later than 30 minutes before the start of each session.
Computer data projection facilities will be provided but the Organizing Committee must be informed in advance which software and specific electronic media are needed. The Organizing Committee will evaluate the request and inform the author about the availability, or not, of such resources. A presentation preview room will be available. Speakers are requested to use this facility before their session to ensure that their slides/computer data work properly.
Posters
Posters maximum dimensions: 80 cm × 120 cm (portrait), prepared in English. The text, figures, etc. should be big and bold enough to be read from a distance of 1.5 m. All posters should be placed in the morning of the first day of the conference (12 October). The authors are requested to remain near their poster during the poster sessions.
If requested by the corresponding author, the conference secretariat may print the posters, provided they are received in due time (before 24 September, 2010) by e-mail. For more information about print conditions, prices and payment, please contact the secretariat.
